How to get targeted twitter followers
Rather than waiting for people to follow you on Twitter, you can proactively build your following over time. Our suggested technique would be to follow people/businesses that you would like to sell to and relying on the 50% rule (that 50% will follow you back). You can then unfollow anyone who doesn’t follow you in return after about a week or so. Set aside 20 minutes each week if you can to start building your following.
Research the competition
Visit your competitors’ Twitter accounts (or websites and see if their Twitter account is there), click on their followers and start following relevant people. The chances are at least 50% will start following you back.
Twitter Advanced Search Tool
Think about the profile of the type of person you are searching for – what might they have tweeted about? If you are looking for people near you (which is likely to be the case), you can just search the “Near this place” box.
