Why Your Social Media Channels Need Videos
2020 is nearly here, and that means a change in social media strategy. You may have heard that video content is popular on social media, but according to a study by Cisco, by 2020, a huge 82% of online content will be video. Whether this is in mini video formats like Instagram and Snapchat stories or TikTok, or longer videos such as YouTube or Facebook (which recommends a 3 minute video for maximum exposure), it’s safe to say, videos are needed to stay relevant.
Luckily, one of the benefits of being a SightCare member includes access to a video library, which includes videos you can share on social media. You can view and download them here.
You can also start to use Instagram’s story feature to create short and engaging videos – adding polls, describing your day, showing off frames etc. You can make use of IGTV- Instagram’s longer video app. You can also sync your Instagram stories to your Facebook stories, halving the amount of work you need to do.
Here’s what videos you can post:
- Eye health explanations
- Modelling frames
- Unboxing new frames
- A tour of your practice
- An introduction to each team member
- An explanation of the various roles in your practice
- Exciting community events
