How To Add Subtitles To Videos
Videos are one of the top-hit ways to grab attention across all the social media channels, but often people watch them on silent while on a train, at work or at home watching TV. So how do you still get your message across while muted? Subtitling of course…but how do you do it on social media? Here’s our tips on how to add subtitles to videos.
How to add subtitles to videos
Clipomatic
For live video, you can use the Clipomatic app to add subtitles as you record your video – meaning you do not need to hand type them all! Once you’ve hit the record button, your words will appear as a caption on your recording. Just remember not to talk too fast or too unclearly!
Caption This
If you’ve already recorded your video, you can use the Caption This app to automatically add subtitles — just upload your recorded video and wait for your captions to update.
Kapwing
Would you prefer to write them yourself? No problem – you can manually add subtitles to your videos with the desktop app Kapwing. This app means you can upload any video and write subtitles that are in sync with your content.
