Online Interactive Training – The New Normal?
In the current environment , with business performance, working practices and budgets coming under increasing pressure , it is now more important than ever to review your staff training options. Training needs will vary from business to business but it is essential to ensure that the training you choose delivers not only the best return for your business but in addition meets the needs and learning styles of your staff.
An increasingly busy timetable and the currently together with a challenging work environment means a high demand on your time and the time of your staff making it difficult to commit to the time needed for training.
In this environment online training courses are becoming increasingly more viable , not just on a cost basis but also as a more efficient use of time for your staff, avoiding the cost of travel, accommodation and time spent out of the practice that is usually involved in the more traditional face to face training. These courses can be tailored to the specific needs of the individual and carried out at a time convenient to the individual and the needs of the business and delivered across a number of sessions to ensure maximum engagement while avoiding overload.
Whether you are looking for training for staff new to optics or as a refresher for existing staff, SightCare, in Partnership with Insight Optical Training, are able to offer a choice of online courses covering a wide range of topics and designed to suit the learning needs of your staff at prices that won’t break the budget.

There are 3 Practice Performance courses currently available, one each month, starting with “ Welcome to the World of Optics” in September and followed by “Solutions to Presbyopia” in October and “Dispensing “ in November.
Each Interactive online course will be delivered in a series of four 1-hour online webinars delivered over 4 weeks . The courses are aimed at building confidence and knowledge of support staff when interacting with patients, leading to better dispensing , more satisfied customers and resulting in higher customer loyalty and increased sales. Each course is developed and facilitated by experienced industry experts with years of training experience and who also work regularly within practice.
In addition to the Practice Performance online courses SightCare also offer a series of 10 Online Distance Learning Modules covering a wide choice of optical topics . There are no formal exams and a certificate is available on the successful completion of the module. Once enrolled delegates have access to the online learning platform for 12 months, although on average a learner takes 6-8 weeks to complete a module, depending on the time allocated.
This is the flexible way to learn with no travelling, no books to purchase and no formal timetable. Candidates can fit the learning around their work and life schedule studying as little or as much as they wish.
