Award Criteria
This is the ideal forum to recognise your outstanding team!
This rewards teams whose togetherness and work ethic has resulted in a significant positive impact on practice’s performance. Entering this category is a great way to boost morale and celebrate outstanding teamwork. Tell us about the team and how they work together in your practice and explain/give examples of how they:
- go above and beyond for patients
- engage with patients , suppliers and with each other
- make a difference in your practice
- show a dedication to training and self-improvement

Award Criteria
Do you have a very positive relationship with your local community, other small businesses, local charities, schools, community groups or local residents? This is the category for practices who contribute that bit extra to their local community.
Entry Criteria:
- Tell us briefly about you and your practice
- Share your evidence of successful community initiatives that have added value both to your organisation as well as your local community
- Demonstrated a creative campaign that has had an impact in your community
- Increased footfall as a result of a community initiative
- Achieved positive feedback from clients about the initiative
- Generated good PR and widened reach
- Creation of great videos to inform or entertain your clientele via social media

Award Criteria
Has something happened in your practice over the last year that stands out in your memory? Have you made a big difference in a patient’s life? Have you created a story to publicise in your PR and social media?
It could be:
- a story or moment that stands out for you over the last year and how it has made a difference to someone
- how you used the moment to create awareness of your practice in your local community
- how people have reacted to the story/any feedback you have received

Award Criteria
If your practice places the customer at the heart of everything you do then this award entry will write itself for you. You could include some examples of how you have:
- offered exceptional customer service levels
- achieved high engagement levels with customers
- selected your products and services to ensure they meet the needs of your target clients
- offered expert advice and guidance
- overcome difficult situations with a positive resolution
- gone above and beyond for clients who return again and again
- added a little something extra to the customer experience
- consider the customer journey as a holistic process – from the moment an appointment is booked to after sale care and follow ups.

Award Criteria
Is your organisation committed to sustainable ways of working? Have you put in strategies to ensure you are driving environmental best practice across the practice? This award is ideal for practices who are committed to reducing their environmental impact through strategies they have implemented.
Judges will be looking for businesses that:
- can highlight their main sustainability achievements
- demonstrate how they have made an invaluable contribution to their business
- can give examples which demonstrate a positive and long term impact on the environment e.g solutions to reduce the organisations carbon footprint
- demonstrate the strong emphasis that the environmental topic is considered within the organisation.

The Entry Process
Closing Date Monday 30th November 2020
- Complete the form below.
- Upload your submission of no more than 750 words on why you think your practice meets the criteria against your chosen award
- Upload up to 3 files of supporting evidence to support your application (supporting images, testimonials, etc).
If you are applying for more than one award, please complete separate entries for each award.If you would prefer to submit your entry by post, please send your 750 word submission together with up to three supporting files, stating the award you are entering, your practice and contact details to:

Terms & Conditions of Entry
1. The Awards are open to SightCare members only
2. Entry Closing Date is 15th June 2020
3. You may enter one or more of the categories.
4. All material submitted will remain confidential.
5. The 750 word submission from winners and finalists, may be published in connection with the Awards.
6. The judges reserve the right to amend category selections where appropriate.
7. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry not accompanied by the appropriate supporting documentation.
8. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging, unfortunately it is not possible to provide feedback.
9. Finalists will be notified in July
10. The winners of each category will be announced at the presentation of the Awards
11. Entries received after the final closing date will not be accepted.
