• "By far the biggest benefit from my point of view is having the ability to talk with and compare ourselves with like-minded practices on a continuous basis. We do this by attending the annual One-Day Conference and the autumn round of Regional Meetings and indeed on a daily basis through the members "blog" SCDialogue."
    David Samuel – Eyesite

  • "The regional meetings give me and my staff access to a suite of top class presentations. I feel the main benefit to them is hearing about new concepts and ideas from people outside their organisation rather than simply hearing it from the 'boss'."
  • Niall O’Kane
  • "Paul and the team are an invaluable source of support for the independent practice. Paul allows time for consultation regarding any business and marketing issues. He shares his wide experience on many topics. The on-line discussion forum from Sight Care is an excellent way of sharing information to the benefit of our customers and business."
  • Tony Plastow
  • "My staff have always sung the praises of the trainers on every Sight Care course they have attended - which is essential in an industry where there are few qualifications to ensure recognition for all our staff for their achievements. I cannot think of a nicer, more efficient and dedicated team than those at Sight Care - always a pleasure to deal with!"
  • Liz - Oakwood Eyecare
  • "I would commend membership of Sight Care to ALL independent practices as a viable means of not only building their own practices, but of combating the relentless big-business approach of the larger multiples. Sight Care is unique in its aims and aspirations and deserves the support of every single independent practitioner."
  • Keith Holland

Marketing and Literature Support

It is important that independents adopt the right promotional strategies to allow them to establish and maintain their share of the optical market. Sight Care is able to offer guidance in this area, and assess current methods objectively. We offer advice on how to formulate a marketing plan, what kind of PR works, and appropriate methods to promote a quality practice to partners.

Marketing Tools

It is essential that independents differentiate themselves from the chains and supermarkets. One way of supporting and communicating the philosophy of a practice is for individual practices to have their own practice leaflet.

Sight Care is happy to assist with copywriting, design and production promotional materials. We also offer a separate design and print service to partners through a design agency who we work with closely.

Patient Newsletter

A valued  benefit of Sight Care partnership is the provision of a FREE, twice-yearly, patient newsletter. Partners can use these to communicate directly with patients and potential patients in an informative way. The newsletters are produced in A4, four page, full colour format and overprinted wil logos, and practice names. There are three options available to partners:

  1. The 'generic' version is available over-printed with the name and contact details of individual practices, and 1000 copies are FREE as a part of Sight Care membership.
  2. A 'logo' version is offered enabling members to have their practice logo and corporate typestyle adopted in the header. A small charge is made for this level of personalisation.
  3. A 'bespoke' version is also available. This allows members to use personalise the whole of the front page. You can have a bespoke article written for your practice, which may include staff changes, an anniversary, or the introduction of new practice technology; in fact anything you think is relevant. An additional charge is made for this option. We have a team of professional writers available to generate the text.
